Update on DART+ West Preferred Option at Coolmine
We are now preparing for a second round of public consultation for the DART+ West project, which is due to launch in July 2021. In advance of the launch of these consultation, Iarnród Éireann is announcing that the Preferred Option for DART+ West at Coolmine is significantly different to that previously proposed. As an alternative to the provision of a new vehicular bridge, the DART+ West Preferred Option proposes to upgrade road junctions and re-route traffic on the existing road network by using the existing railway crossing points at Diswellstown Viaduct and Castleknock Bridge.
